Little Green Shack brings Grateful Dead to life at Summer Concert Series

The Borough of Emmaus has provided free summer entertainment for the community for the past 40 years.

On June 14, Little Green Shack entertained the crowd with Grateful Dead covers and original music. Audience members spread across the lawn and filled the pavilion to enjoy two hours of an eclectic mix of sounds. Many in the crowd wore “Deadhead” shirts and sang along. Little Green Shack members are Ken Gualtieri, Robin Budanow-Gualtieri and John Smith on lead vocals and guitar; Ed Middlecamp on keyboards; and Chris Meyer on drums.

The Emmaus Recreation and Entertainment Commission organizes the concerts, which run through Sept. 6. Performances are held from 6 to 8 p.m. under the pavilion at Emmaus Community Park. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
