Doris J. (Bittner) Marsteller, 84, of Allentown, formerly of Orefield, died May 31, 2026, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown.

She was the wife of David R. Marsteller to whom she was married 62 years.

Born in Schnecksville May 7, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Kermit P. and Frances M.C. (Bittner) Bittner.

She was a 1960 graduate of Parkland High School. Having been blessed with a beautiful voice, she sang at many weddings, and while in school earned a spot on the District and State Chorus.

She was employed as a secretary at Air Products & Chemicals Inc., in Trexlertown for 11 years before retiring. Prior to that, she was a clerk in the Parkland High School superintendent’s office.

She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, where she also sang on both the junior and senior choirs. Her greatest love was that of being a homemaker to her family and was known as a fantastic cook.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Douglas S. Marsteller of Hummelstown.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. June 5, at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs, with the Rev. Kris P. Snyder officiating. No calling hours.
