Catasauqua Garden Club will hold its next meeting June 3 at Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua. The doors open 12:30 p.m., and the meeting will start 1 p.m.

This month, the group will learn about organic fertilizers from Pennsylvania Master Gardener Lynn Dautrich.

Garden-friendly visitors are welcome.

Celebrate America’s 250th and support the J4 planning committee at the corn hole tournament. The event will take place July 4 at Catasauqua Park and Playground, 501 American St.

The rain date is set for July 5.

Participants are limited to the first 20 paid teams. There is an entry fee per team.

There will be first-, second- and third-place payouts, with all remaining proceeds to benefit future J4 community events.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., is seeking the following foods for its homeless guests: Chef Boyardee, instant coffee, soft protein or breakfast bars (but no crunchy or chewy), individual cereal cups, tuna pouches, peanut butter, crackers, cups of noodles (but no ramen) and Pop-Tarts.

Note all cans must have pull tabs, and all “add water” items should be in self-serving cup. Items can be placed in the wagon in the back of the sanctuary or on the food shelf in the hallway outside the fellowship hall.
