Exciting news for LCLC patrons: Your feedback is shaping the future of our library services

As we embrace the spirit of National Library Week, we’re thrilled to announce a new way for you to connect with our resources: you can now e-renew your library card through your online account.

With Quipu eRENEW, we’re making it easier for you to access the treasures of our library anytime, anywhere.

Say goodbye to waiting from Saturday evening until Monday morning.

No more interruptions in your reading journey – just seamless access to e-books through the Libby app.

To enjoy this service, just ensure your library card is less than 30 days past its expiration date and the system will verify your address to confirm your eligibility within our service area.

We believe in empowering you to keep your reading adventures alive.

This past April was a proud moment for our library, as Sen. Nick Miller, D-14th, and state Rep. Michael Schlossberg, D-132nd, presented us with proclamations honoring National Library Week.

It’s a reminder of the vital role our library plays in the community.

In celebration of Earth Day, we partnered with Neighborhood Forest to give away 63 Quaking Aspen trees to children.

It’s a beautiful way to inspire the next generation to nurture nature and understand the importance of our environment.

Our dedicated library staff recently toured the Upper Macungie Township Community Lifestyle Center and is excited to join the Friends of the Library at the Parkland High School annual Festival of the Arts May 16.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with our community and celebrate creativity together.

Don’t miss our beloved seed library, located just by the reference desk.

Rediscover the joy of gardening as you open the drawers of the card catalog to select your loose bulk seeds – all for free with your library card.

Watch the magic of nature unfold as you grow your own vegetables and flowers.

And if you find yourself with an abundance, consider donating to Plant-a-Row Lehigh Valley, which collects fresh vegetables from the library weekly during summer to support local food banks. Share the bounty.

Lastly, be sure to stop by the Friends of PCL Book Shop.

Every purchase you make supports library events and enhancements, allowing us to serve you better and create lasting memories in our community.

Join us this May as we celebrate the beauty of spring at Parkland Community Library.

Together, let’s inspire learning, growth and connection in every corner of our beloved community.
