The Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners held its regularly scheduled meeting May 7. Several resolutions were approved as well as an ordinance.

Ordinance 2026-01 was approved. This ordinance amends Chapter 15 regarding traffic regulations and restrictions on bridge weight limits.

A bid award for roadway maintenance was approved. The bid award went to Asphalt Maintenance Solutions in the amount of $156,357. This is for double application of asphalt seal coat.

A bid was awarded to Asphalt Maintenance Solutions for Quick Set Fog seal. The bid was for $246,068 which was approved.

Resolution 2026-19 was approved for CivicPlus, a recreation software. This will assist with the recreation systems.

Resolution 2026-20 was approved for iSolved, a payroll service provider.

The Smith Lane bridge replacement has been authorized to be completed by Lobar Associates in the amount of $261,569. This was approved.

A resident expressed some concerns over the Cove at Millbrook land development.

The bill list was approved as were the minutes from the April 16 meeting.

An executive session was held over litigation.
