Lozada wins three events; Falcons fall to Bombers

The Salisbury boys and girls track and field teams came up short in last week’s Colonial League meet against Palmerton. The boys fell against the Blue Bombers, 85-65, while the girls team suffered a 117-33 setback last Tuesday.

Falcon senior Steven Lozada won three individual events: pole vault, long jump and high jump to lead the boys side. Jamanni Cruz was the other Falcon who won multiple events, placing first in both the 100- and 200-meter dashes.

Dominic Natosi (400-meter dash) and Griffin Lakics (discus) were the other Falcons to capture first place in their events. The 400-meter relay team also placed first.

On the girls’ side, Ellie Schneider placed first in the 400-meter dash, while Annalise Shelly took the top spot in the long jump event.

Results from this past Tuesday’s meet against Northwestern were not available at time of press. Salisbury will host Catasauqua next Tuesday for a 3:30 p.m. meet.
