Salisbury Football to offer camp May 9

We’ve made it to the fourth marking period. And that means the schools are getting busy as they prepare to wrap up this school year.

PSSA testing starts April 20 — 23 for ELA for students. This will be followed by math testing April 27 and 28 and PSSA Science testing April 30 and May 1. These dates may vary slightly between Salisbury Elementary School and Salisbury Middle School so please refer to information provided to your specific students. It is encouraged that students are not absent these days and that they have a balanced breakfast to start the day.

Salisbury Township School District will host a Community Night May 5 at Salisbury High School, 500 E. Montgomery St. Join them for an evening including an art show 5-8 p.m., community dinner 4:45-6:45 p.m., and a district budget overview 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the library. Dinner is free for the first 500 registrations. Registration is required at salisburysd.org/communitydinner or call 610-797-2062 x1000.

If your child has had a memorable year at one of the STSD schools, you may want to order a yearbook for them. Please look for information coming home regarding yearbooks or reach out to your student’s teacher if your student accidentally lost that information. Most of the ordering is completely online. Be sure to get your order in early.

Salisbury Football is hosting a unique youth football camp May 9 kids in grades kindergarten through eighth grade may want to check out. Led by former NFL running back, Andre Williams, students will learn how to compete and prepare for a successful season. Registration information will be coming soon, but you absolutely don’t want to miss this event.

Do you have a SES student? The SES PTO is looking for board members for the coming academic year. Open positions include president, treasurer, secretary and director of fundraising positions. No experience is needed, just a desire to help the SES community. Attend the next PTO meeting or reach out to a current board member for more information.

The SHS Class of 1976 is planning a reunion in conjunction with the SHS multiclass reunion Aug. 29 at The Foundation Tavern in Wescosville. RSVP is preferred for the Dutch treat dinner to cathypearn@gmail.com by Aug. 15 or to ask any questions.
