Historical society yard, bake sale May 17

The Weisenberg-Lowhill Township Historical Society’s yard and bake sale will take place 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 17 at their headquarters in Werley’s Corner, 4585 Werleys Corner Road, New Tripoli.

Some items you may find include gently used and in good condition clothing for all ages, toys and games, kitchenware, décor, books and more.

Members can set up for free.

All other spots are $10, plus $2 per table.

The historical society will take items to sell if you are unable to attend the yard sale.

Plenty of parking will be available.

The historical society will also be offering a genealogy networking class from 5-7 p.m. May 19 at their headquarters in Werley’s Corner.

There will be an additional day and time, starting in May. Due to Memorial Day, the May date was moved to the third Monday. Normally this session will be the fourth Monday of each month.

Please note they will be offering two sessions each month: the second Sunday of each month from 1:30-4:30 p.m., and fourth Monday of each month from 5-7 p.m.

Christ’s Church at Lowhill, 4695 Lowhill Church Road, New Tripoli, will be hosting Take-A-Taco Food Truck and bake sale 11 a.m.-6 p.m. May 20.

Indoor and outdoor dining will be available.

Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Company is accepting orders until 5 p.m. May 26 for their hoagie sale.

Choose between Italian, with onions and peppers, or onion and no peppers or peppers and no onions or no onions or peppers; ham and American cheese; turkey; roast beef or tuna salad.

Ingredients supplied by Thomson’s Meat Market, Walnutport.

Hoagie pickup will take place 2-6 p.m. June 5 at the fire station.

They will also be selling Nesting Box Ice Cream in half gallons.

Available flavors are Black Forest, Butter Brickle, Cookes and Cream, Lemon Blueberry, Loaded Coffee, Mocha Chip and Salted Caramel Pretzel.
