The Class of 1972’s scholarship fundraiser will be held March 4 at Keystone Pub, 1410 Grape St., Whitehall. The fundraiser is for dine-in or carryout, and 10% of sales will benefit the scholarship fund.

The class awards two $1,000 scholarships to deserving graduating Whitehall High School seniors.

There is a cost per person, which is refundable the day of the event.

To purchase your ticket, visit myevent.com/WHSCLASS72.

Zephyr Elementary will be participating in Read Across America Week by celebrating the works of Dr. Seuss. Each day will include a dress-up theme and reading activities.

The themes for the week include the following:

March 4: Wear green for “Green Eggs and Ham.”

March 5: Wear a funny hat for “Cat in the Hat.”

March 6: Wear crazy socks for “Fox in Socks.”

March 7: Wear location apparel for “Oh the Places You’ll Go.”

March 8: Dress as your favorite Dr. Seuss character for “Drop Everything and Read Day.”

The Class of 2024 group yearbook picture will be taken 9:45 a.m. March 5 in the WHS gymnasium, with a snow date of March 12.

This portrait of the senior class will appear in the 2024 edition of the yearbook. All seniors will report to class and wait for an announcement over the public address system.

The senior class wants the theme to be a unified picture of the senior class wearing school colors. All seniors are asked to wear Zephyr/WCSD apparel or plain maroon, gold, gray, black or white shirts for the photo.

Seniors who are part of a virtual learning network or full-day Lehigh Career and Technical Institute or participate in a morning LCTI program are welcome to join for the photo. Students will be transported to LCTI 11 a.m. on the normal midday bus. LCTI students will wait in the library until the photo is taken. VLN students may be dismissed when done.

Registration is now full for Zephyr Elementary School’s after-school STEM by Da Vinci Science Center, set for 3:30-4:30 p.m. Wednesdays, March 6, 13, 20 and 27 and April 3 and 10.
