Local author returns to Moravian Book Shop

A Stroudsburg author of children’s books will return with a seasonal touch to the Moravian Book Shop on Main Street in Bethlehem Saturday, Dec. 2 at 1 p.m. Interfaith minister Rev. Kathleen Lockwood will be signing copies of her book, “A Christmas Eve Adventure: Finding the Light of the World.”

Lockwood says she was inspired to write the story – about an angel who carries two children through time and space to the very first Christmas Eve – by her real-life role as a mother of three young children.

During long car rides, Lockwood said she often entertained her kids with “adventure tales,” featuring recurring characters named Cammy and Sammy. Although her children are now grown, the fictional duo still lives on in her works.

Within the book’s pages, its protagonists journey through ancient Bethlehem, making Lockwood’s upcoming appearance in its namesake city all the more apropos.

In addition to the Dec. 2 event, “A Christmas Eve Adventure” and other titles by Lockwood can be found at the Moravian Book Shop, local booksellers, and online at booksbykathi.com.
