Long’s EcoWater Systems opens new S. Whitehall facility

By LOU WHEELAND

Special to The Press

A ribbon-cutting ceremony May 13 opened the new Long’s EcoWater Systems facility at 1567 Hausman Road, South Whitehall Township.

Families, friends, business colleagues and South Whitehall commissioners were among those attending the ceremony.

Four dates that impacted the development of Long’s EcoWater Systems were the invention of the first automatic water softening technology in 1925 and the founding of Long’s EcoWater Systems by Lynn Lyndsey, Allentown, in 1949.

In 1998, the company was purchased by the current owners, Jim Carroll and Scott Warrick.

And the fourth important date was the ribbon cutting ceremony of the new Long’s EcoWater Systems facility on May 13.
