CMS News: Students win 2nd at STEM challenge

Congratulations to Cecilia, Nickolas, Alexander and Victoria for winning second place during Carbon-Lehigh Intermediate Unit 21’s STEM challenge.

PSSA spirit week continues with different dress-up themes.

Remaining daily themes will include wearing a shirt with a number April 20 and wearing brown and white April 21.

Catasauqua Middle School talent show tryouts will be held during eighth period April 21. Students must have returned their permission slips to attend.

PSSA testing is coming.

The schedule includes ELA testing in grades 5-8, April 24-26; math testing in grades 5-8, May 1 and 2; and science testing for eighth grade, May 3 and 4.

The ELA perfect attendance reward for students is April 28, and the math perfect attendance reward is May 5.

CMS yearbooks are on sale until April 30.

CMS is looking for sixth- and seventh-grade students interested in joining the CMS football team. They also needs a student manager.

Students in grades 4-9 can register for Lehigh Career and Technical Institute’s Camp LCTI, set for 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. June 20-23. Campers will have tons of fun with science, technology, engineering, arts and math, as well as career exploration.

Registration is only $100 for CASD students. This is a $150 discount!

CASD students who sign up by April 30 will get a free camp shirt.
