BY SUSAN RUMBLE

Special to The Press

The Upper Lehigh Historical Society reports the Schneck log house, along Route 873 across from McDonald’s, Schnecksville, needs repairs to its cedar shingle roof.

The group will have a name-brand basket sale 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on March 18 at the Schnecksville Grange Hall to raise funds for the repairs.

More than 140 name-brand baskets, pottery and wrought iron collectibles have been donated by a Schneck family member to benefit the project.

Baskets include an assortment for holidays and seasons, the Horizon of Hope series, plus picnic, pie, magazine and many other types of baskets.

There will also be liners, protectors and tie-ons.

Located at 5322 Route 873, near the True Value shopping plaza, the Grange Hall has parking available.
