Salisbury Township School District to hold 5K April 22

Registration is now open for the first annual Salisbury Township School District 5K run/walk April 22.

Registration is discounted for Salisbury students.

The next two T-shirt days at Salisbury Elementary School are March 9 and 24.

Salisbury Township schools will be closed for professional development March 10.

Salisbury High School Theatre presents the musical “9 to 5” 7 p.m. March 16-18 and 2 p.m. March 19. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance on the school district website. Contact Cherie Pennella at cpennalla@salisburysd.org for additional information.

On March 21, all SES students are asked to wear blue and yellow in honor of Down Syndrome Awareness.

Also on March 21, SHS will hold a college information night 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the auditorium. This event is filled with information about the college admissions process and financial aid.

The next curriculum and technology meeting will be 7 p.m. March 22, immediately followed by the school board meeting 8 p.m. at the administration building, 1140 Salisbury Road.

Salisbury Township is looking for seasonal playground counselors for the summer playground program.

If you are 16 or older and have your own mode of transportation, applications are online at salisburytownshippa.org. The park program runs 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday and 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evenings from mid-June to late July.

The deadline to apply is March 31.

The Salisbury Yard Waste Drop-off sites will open for the season April 3, starting with the Franko site.

As always, hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
