The Friends of the Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, will have a book sale 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 4 in the Friends Book Shop at the library.

Bring totes and stock up on paperback and hardcover books, audio CDs, music CDs, DVDs and puzzles.

Game day for adults will take place 1-3:30 p.m. Feb. 24 in the Carol and Perry Zirkel Meeting Room of the library.

“Begin at the Beginning: Writing a Strong Opening to Your Story” class for adults will be offered 1:20-2:30 p.m. Feb. 25 in the Carol and Perry Zirkel Meeting Room.

The class will investigate how great writers begin their stories, what techniques they use and how to implement in your own work.

Baby story time for kids ages birth to 15 months, with an adult caregiver, will take place from 10:30-11 a.m. Feb. 27 in the library.

Staff will share simple books, lap bounces, rhymes, and songs, all designed to help babies build important social, motor and early literacy skills.
