SHS names student of the week

Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?

A. I am currently a 12th grader at Salisbury High School.

Q. Who is in your family? Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.

A. My mum Amy, my dad Chris, my brother Gavin, my nana Sally, my pop-pop Ronald Sr., my nanny Doris, my grandma Margreta, my pappy Dennis, my fish Prism and Obsidian, my pet birds Mochi and Echo and my dog Pandora.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. Art classes have always been my favorite subject. It’s a very relaxing class; you end up getting lost in the artwork and music (if you can listen to any). Or at least I do.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. I’ve been on an honor roll through a lot of my schooling which surprises me.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A. The Animé Club at school.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. I am going to Cedar Crest College to study biology and chemistry.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. Getting through my own fears and anxiety; it impacts a lot of things I do or plan to do. But, I try my best to push through it and accomplish what I want too.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. As someone who was very friendly to get along with, someone who would listen if you had a bad day, a person who would give you a hug if needed. Also, someone who drew ghosts around the school and just loved drawing on all the whiteboards.

Q. Whom do you admire? Why?

A. I admire my mum, since she has gone through a lot and still has a smile and can make everyone laugh.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. Never let anyone tell you who you have to be. You don’t have to be “normal” to make friends. You don’t have to fake a smile to get through the day, there is always someone in your life who can make that smile real. Never give up.
