The Salisbury Elementary School PTO has some fun events coming up.

On Jan. 12, the PTO will host a roller skating party at Whitehall Skateaway Roller Rink, 3860 Lehigh St., Whitehall, 6-8 p.m.

The next T-shirt day at Salisbury Elementary School is Jan. 13.

Jan. 13 is also an early dismissal day for Salisbury schools.

Salisbury High School and Salisbury Middle School will dismiss 12:15 p.m. and SES will dismiss 1:15 p.m. All schools are closed Jan. 16 for a teacher professional development day.

Looking for something to do on a Saturday morning? The Allentown Public Library has story time 10 a.m. every Saturday. This includes books, songs, rhymes and other activities to inspire a love of reading in your child.

The following meetings are on the agenda for the month.

An operations committee meeting is scheduled 7 p.m. Jan. 11 at the administration building. A finance committee meeting will immediately follow.

A curriculum and technology committee meeting is scheduled 7 p.m. Jan. 18 followed by a school board meeting 8 p.m.

During the month of January, Christmas trees will be picked up on your second garbage day of the week by Republic Services. If your tree is over 6 feet, it must be cut in half.

A recreation advisory committee meeting will be held 7 p.m. Jan. 16 in the township municipal building, 2900 S. Pike Ave., Allentown.
