LYNN TOWNSHIP: Living Stone invites ladies to attend program of distinction

BY BERNADETTE SUKLEY

Special to The Press

After a very tumultuous year for the community, a new year and a new start is welcomed.

One great New Year’s resolution is to join a local volunteer organization. Many are free or low-cost to join.

Most organizations simply need your time and talent for certain functions on a monthly basis.

Volunteering is a great way to become involved in your community.

***

The Healing Place at Living Stone Fellowship, 6925 Flint Hill Road, New Tripoli, invites all the ladies in the area to become involved in the program: The Ladies of Distinction.

Members meet 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of each month.

Neighbors and friends are welcome, too.

***

Albany Township Food Pantry in partnership with Friend, Inc., Community Services, will be open to offer residents and families in need, food and social support services 2-4 p.m. the first Friday of each month at the Kempton Community Center, 83 Community Center Drive, Kempton.

Resources are also available for those struggling with utility bills or other financial challenges, or who need help applying for medical and food assistance.

To find out the various options, call 610-683-9011.
