Mary Louise Hemmerly, 95, of Bethlehem, died Sept. 23, 2022, at Penn State Health, Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill. She was the wife of the late William C. Hemmerly M.D.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Nellie and Edward Zorn.

She graduated from West Philadelphia High School and attended Temple University.

She managed her husband’s medical office on Easton Avenue for 38 years.

She was a rug hooker and seamstress.

She was a member of Fritz Memorial United Methodist Church, Bethlehem.

She volunteered with Meals on Wheels and the Bethany Meal Center.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Hemmerly of Mechanicsburg and Ellen Hemmerly and her husband David Turban of Baltimore, Maryland; two sons, William and his wife Sue of Sparks, Maryland, and Brian and his wife Susanne of Springfield, Virginia; 10 grandchildren, Ben, Ellen, Susan, Mara, Grant, Danielle, Jacob, Maxwell, Lydia and Will; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by three siblings, Edward, John and Frank Zorn; and a grandson; Kyle Turban.
