Allen/East Allen townships: Zion’s Stone plans chicken dinner

Zion’s Stone United Church of Christ, 51 Church Road, Kreidersville, will hold a carryout barbecue chicken dinner 1-4 p.m. Aug. 27. Pickup is in the upper lot by the picnic area.

The meal includes half of a chicken, macaroni and cheese, applesauce and a roll with butter.

Homemade baked goods will be available for purchase.

Tickets must be purchased in advance.

The deadline to order is Aug. 12. Call Ellen at 610-262-6816.

Reminder: St. John’s United Church of Christ, Howertown, 22 Atlas Road, Allen Township, will be holding a designer purse/gift card bingo and basket raffle event Aug. 14.

Doors open noon. Bingo starts 1:15 p.m.

The kitchen will be open.

Lappawinzo Fish and Game Association, 25 Lappawinzo Road, Allen Township, will hold an all-you-can-eat breakfast 8-11 a.m. Aug. 21.

There is a cost.

The public is invited.

East Allen Township will hold its food truck and farmers market event 3:30-6:30 p.m. Fridays at Bicentennial Park West, just off Colony Drive.

There is a fee to participate, and proof of insurance is required.
