Lester L. Gosling Jr. BASD Industrial Arts teacher

Lester L. Gosling Jr., 92, of Bethlehem, died peacefully on August 1, 2022, while in the care of Holy Family Manor. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Lester L. Gosling Sr. and Catherine (Rowland) Gosling. He was the husband of Eleonore (Castellucci) Gosling.

He was an aviation photographic technician in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict.

He had a 35-year teaching career with the Bethlehem Area School District. He was director of the Student Co-Op program at Bethlehem Area Vo-Tech; Interim School for potential dropout students. He was an Industrial Arts teacher at Northeast MS, Washington ES and East Hills MS, where he ended his career.

He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

He was a member and a president of the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 70. He home built an experimental airplane and flew a 1946 Ercoupe.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Thomas M. and his wife Regina of Bethlehem; a daughter, Karen M. of Bethlehem; a sister, Linda Weiss of Bethlehem; two granddaughters, Sarah Yerk and her husband Greg and Dr. Amanda Gosling and her husband Michael High; and five great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Abigail, Zachary, Elizabeth and Thomas.
