PUBLIC NOTICE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Lower Macungie Township will receive sealed bids for its 2022 Roadway Improvement Program. The Base Contract will generally include the full or half-width mill and overlay of four Township roadways (8,550 SY/770 Ton). The Base Contract work will also include 900 SY of pavement repair, the replacement of one Type C inlet top, the replacement of 10 LF of concrete curb and 60 Tons of leveling/scratch course. Alternate/Add-On No. 1 will generally include the overlay of the portion of Antique Lane between Mill Road and Route 100 (7,600 SY/700 Ton). Alternate/Add-On No. 1 will also include 350 LF of curbline./intersection/driveway mill, 250 SY of pavement repair, 50 GAL rubberized crack seal, 350 Ton leveling/scratch course and the replacement of all pavement markings. Copies of the Specifications and Bid Forms will be available at no cost on PennBID, available at https://pennbid.procureware.com beginning August 3, 2022. Sealed bids will be received via PennBID only until 9:00 AM (prevailing time) on August 22, 2022. Bid results will be made available on PennBID after bid opening. Each bid must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified or bank check, or a Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of PennDOT Pub. 408, made payable to Lower Macungie Township, in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid price, including all Alternate/Add-On items. The successful Bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds each in an amount equal to the Contract Price and meeting PennDOT Publication 408, Section 103.04 requirements. Bidders must be PennDOT prequalified per PennDOT Pub. 408, Section 102. This project is subject to the terms and conditions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, as determined by the Secretary of Labor and Industry, and is to be bid as such. The successful bidder is assessed a variable award fee from PennBID. Lower Macungie Township reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any or all Bids. Renea Flexer, Asst.
