Luther and Martha Lutz of Neffs celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 1.

The couple was married July 1, 1972, in Neffs Union Church.

Luther walked Martha to class his senior year in Parkland High School when she was a sophomore. Martha waited for him while he was serving in the Vietnam War. He came home the day she graduated from high school.

They have two daughters, Cheryl Lutz of Allentown and Christy Lutz of Portland, Ore.

Martha, employed by Neffs National Bank for 21 years, is active with the Senior Citizens of Schnecksville. Luther was last employed by Southern Lehigh School District.
