LCCC: Military-friendly designation again received

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) has again been named a ”Military Friendly School” based on public data sources and responses from a survey.

LCCC received the additional designation as a “Top Ten School” in the category of small community colleges.

The list is published in the May and October issues of G.I. Jobs Magazine and is on www.militaryfriendly.com.

LCCC provides resources and support services to more than 400 active military and veteran students, and their spouses and dependents, while they attend college.

Resources include veterans’ lounges at the Schnecksville and Tamaqua campuses, preferred scheduling, scholarship opportunities and a Veterans Support Team.

The LCCC Veterans Club provides an opportunity to find support, a purpose and make connections with fellow veteran and military students. The Veteran Advisory Board ensures LCCC is informed about veteran-related issues. Students can join SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society.
