CANCER SUPPORT COMMUNITY OF THE GREATER LEHIGH VALLEY needs volunteers for our Dragon Boat Festival at Evergreen Lake in Bath PA 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on August 1st to help with: parking attendants, selling of raffle tickets, marshalling the boat races and set up and clean up. MILLER-KEYSTONE BLOOD CENTER, Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas, needs volunteers at various blood drives throughout the region to give out snacks with a smile while monitoring donors to be sure they are doing well after donating. THE GRESS MOUNTAIN RANCH, Orefield needs volunteers to assist with feeding and watering the animals, and small groups to help with grounds maintenance, composting, cleaning stalls. THE SALVATION ARMY, Allentown needs volunteers to pack bags with school supplies 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the week of August 9 – 12. Packing will be done in a large gymnasium with all safety protocols in place. Volunteers also needed 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on August 19 at the giveaway event for set up, crowd guidance, overseeing activities and games, vendor support, snacks, and refreshments. ALLENTOWN SYMPHONY ASSOCIATION needs volunteers for our Annual Symphony Ball to assist in various facets of planning our largest fundraising event of the year. Meetings on the 3rd Monday of the month through January. This 2-year commitment will benefit education and outreach programs for underserved students.
