The Parkland School Board has approved Leslie Frisbie as the new director of business administration.

She is replacing John Vignone, who will retire Sept. 2.

Frisbie comes to Parkland from Northwestern Lehigh School District where she served for 13 years in business administration.

Before that, Frisbie was a staff accountant at Beard Miller Company and was promoted to senior accountant.

Superintendent Richard Sniscak stated, at the June 15 meeting, Frisbie’s reference checks with former employers were outstanding.

“Ms. Frisbie’s references validated that she makes decisions and recommendations that are legal, ethical, sincere and focused,” Sniscak said.

At Northwestern Lehigh, Frisbie planned revenue and expenditures for a multimillion dollar budget.

She reportedly would anticipate revenues while using historic data to anticipate financial trends.

A graduate of Pocono Mountain High School, Frisbie received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Penn State, a Master of Science degree in school business leadership from Wilkes, and a Master of Business Administration degree from DeSales.

Sniscak reported Frisbie did a fine job with the interview process which included members of the school board, the administration and incoming superintendent Dr. Mark Madson.

Frisbie said she was impressed by the thorough examination and interview procedure conducted by the district which led to her selection for the position.

Administrators said Frisbie was able to take complex financial information and make it understandable.

They noted she looks for ways to provide educational and extracurricular opportunities in the most cost effective manner possible and plans strategically for forthcoming expenditures.

Administrators also pointed out Frisbie strives to implement financial practices that follow state and federal guidelines to ensure fair and legal business practices.

Frisbie was introduced and offered comments.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for me,” Frisbie said. “I have big shoes to fill.”

Frisbie will have transition time to work with Vignone before his departure.

She and her husband reside in the Parkland School District. Their children attend Fogelsville Elementary School.

Frisbie’s contract will extend to June 30, 2026.

Her salary will be $160,000.
