The Neffs National Bank is celebrating National Banking Month with programs designed to give back to the community.
The bank hosted volunteers from The Sanctuary at Haafsville, Breinigsville, on April 9. They brought along adorable, adoptable puppies to show their involvement with pet adoptions.
With the proliferation of dogs and cats in the southern United States, many southern states readily euthanize lost, stray and unwanted pets.
Spaying and neutering is not as wide spread as in other parts of the country, so the number of unwanted pets is high.
As one of many regional no-kill shelters, The Sanctuary at Haafsville is doing what it can to help save many of these unwanted animals.
