Simple assault

Brianna Ruth O’Brien, 24, of Allentown, was charged Jan. 24 with alleged simple assault and harassment following an incident at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, according to Salisbury police.

Criminal mischief

Damage was done to a grass covered lot in the 1800 block of Maumee Avenue, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Jan. 21 and remains under investigation.

Theft from vehicle

A wallet and cash were removed from a vehicle parked in the 1200 block of Potomac Street, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Jan. 20 and remains under investigation.

DUI

A 43-year-old motorist, of Reading, was charged Jan. 20 with alleged suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop in the 200 block of West Emmaus Avenue, according to Salisbury police. He was transported to the Lehigh County Central Booking Center.

Identity theft

A resident of the 1100 block of Lichtenwalner Avenue learned a person applied for COVID-19 relief benefits in her name, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Jan. 20 and remains under investigation.

Fraud

A resident of the 1000 block of Newgate Drive learned of the fraudulent use of a check issued to another person, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Jan. 22 and remains under investigation.

A credit card was used to fraudulently make $500 in purchases, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Jan. 20 and remains under investigation.
