New this year was a tour through neighborhoods usually visited by a Santa run sponsored by The South Mountain Lions Club. That run was canceled because of COVID-19 restrictions. Those restrictions applied to the Western Salisbury Volunteer Fire Company run also, as no stops for a personal greeting by Santa were permitted. All of the fire company's equipment participated in the run, with Santa, assisted by Deputy Chief Adam Al-Khal; Mrs. Claus, assisted by firefighter Dr. Jenna Littman and The Grinch, assisted by firefighter Alan Fichter. Deputy Chief David Xander was behind the wheel of the fire company's restored antique American LaFrance fire engine.
