North Catasauqua: Fire department wants to help celebrate birthdays

If any North Catasauqua resident has a child who is unable to celebrate a birthday because of the coronavirus, Charotin Hose Company No. 1 would like to help with a drive-by celebration to make the day extra special.

Contact the department via Facebook to set up something.

More than 200 families stopped by Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, Catasauqua, recently for food help.

A special thank you to all supporters of this Neighbor Supporting Neighbor program in both Catasauqua and North Catasauqua: Pie’s On Pizzeria, Blondies, Blocker’s Coffeehouse, Sazon Dominicano, Catty Corner Neighborhood Pub and Pie, Tony’s Top Cat, Fossil’s Last Stand, Catty Pizza, La Herencia El Camacho, DND Market, M&B Market, Pantry One Food Mart, Schlegels, Paul Cmil, Jessica Kroope, Emerts, Al Wren, Catasauqua health care workers, Catasauqua Community Food Bank and countless other quiet heroes.

The next program is slated for May 1.

The Catasauqua/North Catasauqua J4 Celebration, combined with a Catasauqua High School mega reunion, has been postponed until July 2021. If you already sent a donation to help with the celebration, it will be kept in the treasury for the 2021 celebration.
