Blanche (Arndt) and Marvin Schantz, formerly of Emmaus, celebrated their 79th wedding anniversary Oct. 25. They now live at Country Meadows of Allentown Retirement Community

They were married Oct. 25, 1947, in Zions Evangelical Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville, where they are members.

They are parents of four children: Glenn Schantz, Marilyn Fenstermaker, Barbara McDonald (husband Bob) and Terry Schantz (deceased) and his wife Tammy.

They are grandparents of Robert Fenstermaker (deceased), Mark Fenstermaker (wife Theresa), Eric McDonald (deceased), Hope DeLong (husband Brad), Ann Fegley (husband Andy), Abigail Winklespecht (husband Mark) and Drew Schantz (wife Marcy).

They are great grandparents of Bridget Ross, Harley McDonald, Angela and Rebecca Fenstermaker, Addison and Ava Fegley, Holly DeLong, Brooks Winklespecht and have one on the way.
