Northampton Area Public Library: Fandom valentine event set for Feb. 10

The fandom valentine event for adults is scheduled for 6 p.m. Feb. 10.

Are you a Whovian? Do you geek everything “Star Wars”? Have you received your admissions letter to Hogwarts? Join us to make valentines from your favorite fandom!

There will be a teen program to make tranquillity jars held 3 p.m. Feb. 12.

The jars are an instant stress reliever - shake it up and be mesmerized.

Strategic Benefits One Group will present a Medicare educational workshop either 3 p.m. or 5 p.m. Feb. 12 to help you understand your benefits and options.

All are welcome - from those new to Medicare or those concerned they are in the wrong plan.

The library book sale is Feb. 19, 20 and 22.

Children, teen and adult books and DVDs and CDs will be on sale.

The Frogtastic Leap Year celebration will be 6 p.m. Feb. 25.

Celebrate the leap year with our Frogtastic family storytime and craft.

The Engineering Club for teens will meet 3 p.m. Feb. 26. Meet different design and building challenges while using a variety of different materials.

This club meets every fourth Wednesday.

The Genealogy 101 program will be held 9:30 a.m. Feb. 29 for an introduction to family history research, including strategies, resources and tips to begin.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of Ancestry is 11 a.m. Feb. 29 for instructions on how to use Ancestry.com to discover your family history.

Programs are presented by Mary Ellen Heckman, a founding member of Berks County Genealogical Society. Heckman has been helping people research family histories for more than 30 years.

The Munchkin Music program is March 2.

Babies and toddlers are 10 a.m., and preschool age is 11 a.m.

Celebrate Read Across America at the library’s Dr. Seuss celebration, to be held 6 p.m. March 3.

Teens, join the library’s new online book club. Register and pick up a free copy of “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” by Jenny Han.

Meetings are held online at the teen book club through the library’s Facebook page.
