The Kreidersville Covered Bridge annual tree lighting will take place 4:30 p.m. Dec. 14 at 100 Covered Bridge Road.

This community event will feature caroling around a campfire, snacks, hot chocolate and even a visit from a certain special someone from the North Pole.

In case of inclement weather, the rain date is Dec. 15.

Lappawinzo Fish and Game, 25 Lappawinzo Road, is planning a breakfast 8 a.m.-noon Dec. 15.

It is open to the public.

There is a cost.

Governor Wolf Historical Society, 6600 Jacksonville Road, will have a Christmas candlelight concert 7 p.m. Dec. 15 in the Wolf Academy on the society campus.

Mt. Laurel Brass will entertain.

The cost of a ticket also includes a Christmas dessert buffet.

The historical society is also planning to host a New Year’s Eve party, 8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m.

The band Pawnshop Bound will play, and there will be refreshments, including shrimp and mini-sandwiches, soft drinks, hats and noisemakers. BYOB of your preferred beverage.

There is a cost.

Attendance is limited to 60 guests.

A Blue Christmas service is planned for 7 p.m. Dec. 20 at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, 8142 Valley View Road, Seemsville.

This service is an opportunity for the congregation and its neighbors to worship together and find support as they deal with loss and grief during the holiday season.
