Lehigh Township: Drug education program set for Nov. 17 at Hope Lutheran

The Center for Humanistic Change will be presenting the HOPE (Heroin and Opioid Prevention Education) program 9 a.m. Nov. 17 at Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville.

HOPE, developed in response to the growing concern around heroin and opioid abuse in the Lehigh Valley, builds awareness through the stories of local families coping with the effects of addiction.

By attending this program, participants will learn about heroin and opioids and how they are used; be able to recognize signs and symptoms of use; understand addiction as a brain disease; learn about the effects of use on health, relationships and life; and be able to identify local resources, including how and where to find help.

All are welcome.
