Northampton Area Public Library: Work on your novel Monday nights
November is National Novel Writing Month. For the month of November, Northampton Area Public Library will offer Come Write In, a quiet space for you to write your novel, beginning 5 p.m. Mondays.

There will be a book bingo for children and their families 6 p.m. Nov. 12. Play to win new or slightly used books.
Any child up to and including fifth grade is invited to play.

Don’t miss the no-sew emoji pillow program for teens 3 p.m. Nov. 13. Make emoji pillows and keep them for yourself or give them as gifts.

The library fall book sale is Nov. 13, 14 and 16. Children’s, teen and adult books, as well as DVDs and CDs, will be on sale.
There will be a bag sale throughout the event.

The Mayhem in the Sourland Mountains program is scheduled for 7 p.m. Nov. 15. The library will host James Davidson, author of “New Jersey’s Lindbergh Kidnapping and Trial.”
Davidson will discuss the Lindbergh family and the kidnapping of Charles Lindbergh Jr.

Join Fair Districts PA 6:30 p.m. Nov. 18 as they discuss gerrymandering and how the Lehigh Valley was one of the districts most affected by the gerrymandering court case in 2018.

There will be a sip and shop fundraiser 6-8 p.m. Nov. 22. Vendors include Paparazzi, Pampered Chef, Color Street, Scentsy and more.
A ticket includes the entrance fee, two glasses of wine and a selection of light refreshments.
Ticket presale is going on now at the library.

Visit with Santa during a special storytime and complete a Christmas craft 6 p.m. Dec. 10. Registration begins Nov. 18.

There will be a gingerbread house-building competition for teens 3 p.m. Dec. 11.

Janice Monahan Rodgers, author of “Christmas Is a ’Coming,” will share Christmas memories 6 p.m. Dec. 12. Follow the Monahan clan back in the 1940s and ’50s to see how they celebrated the holidays growing up in the Lehigh Valley.
