North Catasauqua: Halloween parade planned for Oct. 23
The Catasauqua and North Catasauqua Halloween parade is coming 7 p.m. Oct. 23. The parade starts at 14th and Race streets in Catasauqua and ends at North Catasauqua William J. Albert Memorial Park, 701 Grove St.
Come out and enjoy all of the Halloween spooky fun and merriment at this annual event.

Catty Seniors Plus will meet 1 p.m. Oct. 23 at Slovak Center Social Club, 1223 Fifth St. Doors open noon.
This month’s meeting will feature the annual October luncheon for all members who signed up. Attendees are asked to bring a small amount of their favorite cookies to share for dessert, as well as donations for the food bank.
After the luncheon, there will be bingo games.

A planning meeting for the 2020 J4 Celebration is set for 7 p.m. Oct. 24 in the community room at North Catasauqua Borough Hall, 1066 Fourth St.
Volunteers are needed to help plan the event, scheduled for July 4, 2020, at North Catasauqua William J. Albert Memorial Park.
Also planned as part of the community event will be a Catasauqua High School mega class reunion.

An afternoon of bingo with cash prizes will take place Oct. 27 at Porter Lodge, 1103 Sixth St.
The fun begins 1 p.m. when the kitchen opens with a menu that will include items from Grumpy’s Roadhouse. Bingo games begin 3 p.m.

Trick-or-treat night will be 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31. Don’t forget to turn your porch light on to let children know to come to your home for goodies.

Do you like to sing? The North Catasauqua WE SING! Community Chorus is always welcoming new members. The chorus is open to men and women 18 years of age and older.
The chorus generally meets once or twice a month for rehearsal and sings for community and civic groups and nursing homes, performs at a community concert and does a benefit concert once a year.
