Sign-ups are underway for fall children’s programs at Northampton Area Public Library. General programs, for babies 3 months old up to students in fifth grade, begin the week of Oct. 22.

The stitch and chat program is 6 p.m. Oct. 8. Bring your crocheting, knitting, cross-stitching or embroidery projects to the library and enjoy the company of crafty friends.
No registration is required.

Don’t miss the autumn basket social 6 p.m. Oct. 11 at Northampton Banquet and Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave. Presale tickets are on sale now at the library. Ticket sales end 7:45 p.m. Oct. 11. You do not need to be present to win.
There will also be a 50/50 raffle, bake sale, big-ticket items and food for purchase.

Dr. Kaushik Patel, with LifeSpring Home Care, will present a program on managing chronic diseases 4 p.m. Oct. 22. Topics discussed will be managing chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and congestive heart failure.

Find clues and solve the puzzles in the library’s escape room of horrors 6 p.m. Oct. 28. Participants must be 18 or older.

There will be a sugar skull decorating event for teens 3 p.m. Oct. 30 in honor of Dia de los Muertos.

Northampton County Office of the Aging will host a Medicare information session with an Apprise counselor 10 a.m. Nov. 2 at the library.

There will be an Affordable Care Act information session 1 p.m. Nov. 2. Learn how to navigate through the health insurance marketplace to get insurance.

The Munchkin Music program for babies and toddlers will be 10 a.m. Nov. 4, followed by the preschool program 11 a.m.
