Moore Township: Tree lighting is scheduled for Dec. 1
Moore Township Lions and Lioness clubs will have their annual Christmas tree lighting 6:30 p.m. Dec. 1.
The tree is located on the corner of Routes 946 and 987 in Klecknersville.
Santa will be there.
Refreshments are provided by Latteman’s Corner Store.

Mountain View Wesleyan Church, 1001 Deemer Road, invites the community to its annual homemade Christmas cookie sale 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Dec. 1. There will be more than 40 varieties to choose from.
Mountain View Wesleyan is also hosting the Grace Notes Gospel Big Band 2:30 p.m. Dec. 8. Come out for an old-fashioned big band Christmas. Admission is free.
Also at the Mountain View church, there will be a children’s holiday event with crafts, cookies and singing. This event will take place 1-3 p.m. Dec. 15.

Moore Township fall leaf pickups continue. There will be multiple trips through each neighborhood for the duration of the collection program.
Private roads do not qualify for leaf pickup.
Leaf piles must be free of sticks and debris and can be piled at the edge of the roadways. Public works reserves the right to refuse pickup if inappropriate debris is found in the piles.
Residents are welcome to bring brush and leaves to the recycling area located to the east side of the public works building, during daylight hours, seven days a week. The public works building is located next to the township building, 2491 Community Drive, Bath.
