Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive, will be hosting a grandparents breakfast 8 a.m.-noon Sept. 9. The buffet includes made-to-order eggs, omelet toppings, French toast, pancakes, home fries, sausage, bacon, ham, scrapple, sausage gravy, creamed dried beef, fruit cup, juices, toast and a hot beverage.

The event is open to the public.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, will be having its congregational picnic noon-5 p.m. Sept. 9. There will be fun, food, games and tractor rides. There will also be bingo, a cake walk and ice cream.
