Samuel G. Rhudy

Samuel G. Rhudy, 75, of Lower Macungie Township, died July 22, 2017, in the In-Patient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Catherine A. (Pierson) Rhudy. They celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary in May. Born in Wichita, Kan., he was the son of the late Dale E. and June (Murphy) Rhudy.

He was a 1960 graduate of Derby High School in Derby, Kan.

He was an Army veteran.

He worked for Ehrlich Pest Control and previously was employed by Exide Battery.

He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Orefield.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his son and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife; son, Jason C., of Alburtis; grandchildren, Camryn and Ethan; sisters, Sue and her husband Larry Martin, of Howard, Kan. and Polly and her husband John Curtis, of Broken Arrow, Okla. and his dog, Rio. He was predeceased by a brother, Dennis.

A funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. July 31, St. Joseph the Worker, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield, 18069. Call 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. July 31 in the church. Arrangements were made by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
