Northampton senior, Lyndsey Gallagher, will represent the Konkrete Kids at the PIAA State Cross Country Championships this weekend after placing 11th at the District XI Cross Country Championships last Wednesday at Bethlehem Municipal Golf Course.
“I’m happy with my time and place,” Gallagher said. “I knew I got my spot to states. I’m looking to medal.”
Gallagher’s time was 20:01.12.
“I wanted to get out fast because the lines are narrower,” she said. “My first mile was not as good as the golf course [where] I felt more like myself. I worked the hills, and I was with an Easton girl, so we were in this together.”

Stroudsburg’s Allana Powlette won the girls’ race in 18:27.85.
In team results, Stroudsburg’s girls placed first with 53 points. Northampton’s girls placed eighth with 215 points.
Parkland’s boys took first place with 49 points, and Northampton’s boys placed 10th with 262 points.
