Many beautiful baskets will be raffled off at the 22nd annual fall basket social at Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville, Oct. 14. The walk-in social will start 4 p.m., and the drawing will begin 7:30 p.m. Winners will be notified via phone that same evening.

Delicious homemade foods, baked goods and other refreshments will be available.

Proceeds of the event will benefit Hope Lutheran Church’s maintenance fund.

Cord of Three women’s ministry at Bethany Wesleyan Church, 675 Blue Mountain Drive, Cherryville, meets 6:30-8 p.m. every other Monday beginning Oct. 10.

Doors and the cafe open 6 p.m.

Held in the ministry center, studies offered are “The Gospel of Mark: The Jesus We’re Aching For” by Lisa Harper or “Fight Back With Joy” by Margaret Feinberg.

Also, the church will hold a morning study 9:30-11 a.m. Tuesdays starting Oct. 11 in the library of the family life center.

The study offered is “The Miracle of Mercy” by Rick Warren.
