Cetronia, Woodlawn assist at two-alarm house fire

Firefighters from Cetronia Fire Department, along with Western Salisbury and Eastern Salisbury fire departments responded around 9:30 a.m. Aug. 28 to a house fire at 2833 Andrea Drive, Salisbury Township.

Within minutes of being called out, Salisbury police confirmed a fire in the basement with smoke showing.

Western Salisbury Fire Department Chief Josh Wells requested a second alarm assignment for manpower, bringing crews from Woodlawn, Lower Macungie, Emmaus, and Alburtis fire departments and an EMS crew from Cetronia Ambulance Corps.

The fire arriving truck from Western Salisbury placed a hose line into the basement of the home and were able to quickly knock down the fire in the corner.

Crews setup several fans to help ventilate smoke from the fire and second floor. There was no one home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by Salisbury Police Department.
