Student earns

dean's list status

Patrick Strobel was named to the dean's list for the spring 2014 semester at the University of Vermont.

Strobel, of New Tripoli, is a sophomore anthropology major in the College of Arts and Sciences.

To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

to honor roll

Michael Rodgers of Allentown, a member of the class of 2017 at Washington and Lee University, Lexington, Va., earned honor roll status for the 2013 winter term.

Honor roll status represents a term grade-average of at least 3.75 on a 4.0 scale.
