Whitehall Township police detectives in April investigated two robberies involving juveniles as the suspects.
The board of commissioners and Mayor Edward D. Hozza Jr. were informed at the May commissioners meeting the two juveniles, involved in separate incidents, were arrested. Both boys are currently in the Lehigh County juvenile justice system.
Detectives continue to investigate a possible forgery of checks. The checks were cashed on a elderly township woman's account. The amount of money involved was not stated.
However, Detective Andrew Millen, acting detective division commander, reported the main suspect in the case has died.
Also, two sex offenses have been investigated by the detective bureau. A juvenile was charged with victimizing a juvenile girl. In the other incident, a male exposed himself to the victim. The victim in the case, however, has refused to cooperate with police.
A report of rape involving juveniles and a suspect resulted in a person cited. The case is proceeding through the juvenile system.
Six burglary cases also remain open by detectives who are investigating the incidents, The burglaries took place over the past month
A incident involving fraud is also being investigated in which the victim permitted the suspect access to a Western Union machine. The amount of money involved is more than $3,000.
Chief Linda Kulp reported four DUI arrests were made by patrol officers in April, 24 vehicle crashes were investigated, 150 traffic citations issued, 156 parking tickets issued and 25 written warnings were issued.
