Timothy Lahr, of Northampton, Heather Alderman and Joshua Gonzalez, both of Whitehall, were named to the dean's list for the fall 2013 semester. To qualify for the dean's list students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Michael C. Gaugler, of Whitehall, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2013 semester. A student must earn a 3.5 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale while taking 12 or more graded hours of course credit to be named to the dean's list.

Anna Lloyd, of Whitehall, was inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society. Lloyd is pursuing a degree in psychology at Pennsylvania State University.

Whitehall graduate recieves outstanding dissertation

Dr. Stephen Lewellis, a 2003 graduate of Whitehall High School received the Dean's Outstanding Dissertation Award for 2013-14 at New York University's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. He is the son of Canon Bill and Monica Lewellis of Whitehall. His dissertation was in Developmental Genetics. After graduating from Haverford College in 2007 with a major in biology, where he recieved multiple awards and recognitions and graduated with honors, Lewellis received an invitation from NYU to join 10 other international students in an extremely competitive Medical Scientist Training. The program included an eight-year MD/PhD fellowship.
