The Hispanic Center Lehigh Valley acknowledged the contributions of its many supporters and volunteers at a March 21 recognition luncheon. Hispanic Center executive director Lorna Velazquez said it is important to handle the event as one of group recognition so that everyone who supports the center's activities knows their contributions are appreciated and valued. Mary Colon, president of the center's board of directors, told the assembly "this is a celebration of what you do for us, your time and your support." State Representative Steve Samuelson (D-35th) provided Volunteer Award certificates from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
