With construction of the Lehigh Street Bridge nearing completion, notice has been given to the new span in Hokendauqua which could be opened to traffic in mid December. Replacing an aging narrow bridge, construction of the replacement bridge had its challenges. The bridge, with its concrete deck already poured, was originally projected to be ready for traffic several weeks ago.
