The Siegfried Railroad Station, the home of the Northampton Area Historical Society, will be open to visitors 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. The station is open this extra Sunday because it was closed in July due to the heat.

The station is located on West 21st Street (Route 329).

Northampton's annual Jack Frost Parade will be held Thursday, Oct. 24, starting at 7 p.m.

The rain date is Oct. 31.

Trick-or-treat night in the borough will be held Thursday, Oct. 31, 6-8 p.m. Residents are urged to turn on their porch lights.

Holy Trinity Slovak Lutheran Church, 1235 Main St., is holding a nut roll sale.

Choose from nut, apricot, lekvar, seedless raspberry and poppy seed.

Orders are due Nov. 3. Pickup is Nov. 23.

Can you judge a book by its movie? Should you? Bill Wine, Commonwealth speaker and Emmy-winning KYW NewsRadio film critic, will present "Based on the Book: Bestseller Cinema" 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Northampton Area Public Library, 1615 Laubach Ave.

The library presentation is a program of the Pennsylvania Humanities Council supported in part by National Endowment for the Humanities.
