A flapjack fundraiser will take place 8-10 a.m. this Saturday, Oct. 5, at Applebee's, 1510 Cedar Crest Blvd., Allentown.

The event will support Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church's youth group, who will send 100 percent of the profits toward the sponsorship of a child through World Vision.

Event tickets will be available at the door.

A raffle will take place during the breakfast. First place winner will receive a $25 Applebee's gift card. Second prize is a $25 Wawa gift card and third prize is a basket of fair trade goodies.

The Catasauqua Club, 226 Pine St., will be holding a bingo and dinner 5 p.m. this Saturday.

An Italian dinner will be served and 15 games of cash bingo will be played. Participants also will have the opportunity to bid on some great Chinese auction prizes.

There is a cost for the dinner. Chinese auction tickets also will be sold throughout the night.

Prizes will be based on the number of tickets sold. Advanced ticket purchases are required, No tickets will be sold at the door.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., is hosting an old fashioned hymn sing 6 p.m. this Sunday, Oct. 6.

Light refreshments will be served afterward.
